It's a shame EA and co are rushing out ports before their actual games come to the market. But ah well, Blackhand is supposed to be great and I actually want to play that snowboarding game (name escapes me).
The scramble started around January for dev kits. It's going to be a while but there is going to be a surge of games coming. For better (variety) or worse (most will probably be crap).

If you've got the matter/silver ones, then you'll just need a miniDisplayPort to DVI adapter as well as an HDMI male to DVI female adapter

I also sold the exact same machine on eBay in August. I got $1,000 for it.

Also, I highly recommend taking at least one backpack to put sunscreen, water and snacks in. Disney World does allow food to be taken in now so I also recommend taking lunch some days as eating there every day is expensive.
Have fun!
We have a back pack already set up for the trip, the more people post here the more I see P&S is the way to go. Now the question is, whether the TMz-5 is good or should I "upgrade" hmmm, decision, decisions.

I'm not a web developer by trade so I can't begin to comment on the methods being used; I took the decision to do it this way (with my limited knowledge!) as it seemed the simplest option, as I would have otherwise used Flash - which I didn't do for obvious reasons...
If I'd have created the page as a single image (say at 900x800px), with an all over blue background and a full colour image (for argument's sake, let's say a it's of a car) sitting in the middle third of it, the background colour would be consistent across the whole page;
if I split the image into thirds (300px across apiece), so that the outer two images are plain blue, with the middle image containing the car on the same colour background, that blue is a different hue in the middle panel compared to the two outers.
Is this because of some sort of optimisation process, where the number of colours on that image is being cut back somehow? I'm using 'Save for web and devices' and I've tried 'convert to sRGB' and 'Use Document Color Profile' but it doesn't seem to make a difference. all the relevant RGB/CMYK/LAB/Hex colours are all consistent... this is driving me nuts.
I'd post the page in question, but it's sensitive material so I can't...

I call shenanigans. Why sell a cheaper model when people would buy up the more expensive one if the cheaper one wasn't offered.

If I am going to hook up my Xbox 360 with HD DVD drive up to a 1080p TV, which will look better: VGA or HDMI? The reason I am asking this is because I want to know whether to go for the Premium or the Elite, seeing as I don't like the black color of the Elite and don't think that I'll fill up the 20GB hard drive in the premium. Does VGA look just as good as HDMI? Because then I think I'm just going to go for the premium. Or are the rumors true, and will the Elite, once it sells a certain number, have its price cut and become white again?
Well, from what's been said, the Elite will eventually be integrated into the normal xbox 360 lineup. What's unsure is whether it will take on the premium's price or stay a bit higher.
That being said, if you have a 1080p tv, and you have the money I would probably get an hdmi equipped 360. On the other hand, if you arn't an absolute stickler about it, the 360 looks great in HD with VGA - to most people there would likely be little to no difference. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that adding hdmi to the box is more or less a marketing ploy rather than a necessity.
I have hooked my 360 up with the included component cables at 1080 and it is good enough for me.
the single biggest thing I would keep in mind when buying a 360 isn't HDMI or VGA or even harddrive size. You know what it would be?
Get one manufactured RECENTLY that has the quiet(er) drive in it. If I could get rid of even HALF the noise that comes from the DVD drive I'd be a happy camper.

both those mics are condensers, yes? it looks like that m-audio interface has only a single channel that can handle condensers. is this an acoustic or electric guitar?
equipment aside, separation is the biggest challenge you'll face playing an acoustic and singing simultaneously. i think it's a great way to record a track, but just be aware that you can't really overdub one of the parts and keep the other.

AP says no. :D
Again, proving my ignorance...
"AP" is what? "Associated Press"? Or, I mean, "Associated Press?"
No, I don't - that looks like I'm using "Associated Press?" as a phrase.
I'm so confused. I think I'll just speak my posts from now on and supply the link to the audio file.
No, wait, I'll have to record them with my iSight... otherwise, I'll not be able to do the "air quotes". "Air quotes." Dammit....

Another vote for Seagate. That's what came in my PM G5, and I added another recently with which I'm very pleased. Quiet...no problems.
Sounds cool.
I was recomended the Seagate Barracuda from the ProTools forum, cos its quite and reliable.
Do the Seagate drives come in all PowerMacs or do they just put in whatever they can get their hands on at the time?

Do you have SHSH blobs saved for 4.2.1. If you do then upgrade to 4.3.1 and save your SHSH blobs and then downgrade back to 4.2.1 using your 4.2.1 blobs.
This makes absolutely no sense. Even from 4.2.1 you can save your 4.3.1 blobs.

I'm all with BanjoBanker. Totally addicted to my iPhone. It's the ultimate portable device, incredibly versatile and proves its handiness in countless situations day in and day out. And you don't need to carry 2 devices (phone and pocket computer)
But there are some downsides, too, most notably the smaller screen. If you'd like to have some screen space for some more serious work, such as writing, movies, pictures, editing, reading etc., then get the iPad. Sure, you need a bag and carry it around.. but depending on the things you want to do, it might be worth it. Also, if you plan to use the device as portable (bedroom) device at home (reading books, watch pics/movies), the iPad is hard to beat.
Still, my vote goes to the iPhone...

This is one of the best run and gun camera stabilizers that doesn't require you to balance and take a lot of time to learn how to use it... I even use it from time to time with my hvx 2000. Whats the point of banning if they can just make a new user?
It lets them know that their posting habits were not acceptable and that they are no longer welcome. Some of these users leave for good because it's clear that this site doesn't suit them. Some contact us to blame us for their behavior while others contact us to debate the details of their situation.
And yes, some of them re-register. They are often identified to the moderators by users who recognize them, or are spotted by the moderators themselves. The people who get banned, i.e., users who break rules and are uncooperative in the first place, tend not to change personality and as a result often end up getting banned again for the same reason they did the first time. Very few want to play cat-and-mouse this way for long since they aren't able to use the forums as other users do. No doubt there are some re-registrants who haven't been caught, but there's not much we can do about that. There will always be immature users and we'll always need to rely on forum users to report their inappropriate posts, but the job of the moderators is to minimize the problems they cause for other users.

iFixitdirect looks like they have a quality swap kit, includes everything the white iPhone has. They even mention oem quality parts and no problems with the prox sensor.
buddy's from them had prox sensor issues.

Here's the situation...
Going to a party. The room has power, but the house does not have internet (believe it or not...), and the area doesn't really get strong cell/data signals.
Are there any speakers that I can simply plug into a power outlet (or use batteries) and then can talk to my iPhone (or MacBook) wirelessly/bluetooth, and the sound can fill a room maybe 45ft x 60ft (doesn't have to be super loud like a concert, more like background music). I would like there to be 2 (or more) speakers in the room so everyone can hear clearly. Portable speakers with an iPhone dock (like a Base SoundDock or or Logitech S715) I don't think will cut it - I don't want to have to have it cranked up by some people just to folks on the other side of the room can hear ok.
Fine if I have to get something to plug into the iPhone/laptop, or some main "controller" unit that I have to plug into them that then talks to the speakers. Basically I'm envisioning something like a Sonos S5 that doesn't require an internet connection (which it seems to from all the material I have read). I'm flexible on dollars - just can't have any cords running across the room. Or like a Jawbone JAMBOX, but have the ability to set up 2+ speakers at the same time (doesn't have to be stereo, which I'm not sure would even be possible anyways).
Thanks so much everyone!! :apple:
