for 1 thing we all know is that the SB will most likely have a weaker GPU for games, and if gaming on the Air isn't your idea, well, a refresh might be better, but as for now, just keep your Air, i am sure, a lot of people would still buy the current Air even when the refresh is out

j763, get off the phone with AOL and return to calmness.

I experienced a similar situation with my Cube, with it not turning off until I unplugged it. Even Apple couldn't find what the problem was.

My problem was how I had the USB set up. I had the speakers set up in port 1 and the monitor in port 2.

Plug in your monitor to USB port 1, and your speakers to USB port 2. That may fix the problem.

If you're buying at an actual Apple Store, then, sadly, you can't upgrade anything for the PBs (except buy very overpriced RAM). If the deal you're getting is a good one, I'd just accept the smaller drive and maybe buy an external.

However, are you sure you can't order online?

I recently realized the existence of void pointers. These are quite useful if the primitive type for a data storage class is not known. Though, I have a question as to whether I am using them correctly.
My storage class will allocate memory and keep track of the byte size of the individual pieces. The user then set and extract bytes via void * pointers.
The storage class then copies bytes to and from the storage memory as needed. Basically my own crude implementation of NSMutableArray/NSMutableData.
The user gets back a void * pointer and then casts this into whatever is needed. Yes, probably too much responsibility is given to the user.
Anyway, I am concerned about memory leaks. To return a value, I memcpy() the bytes into a newly created memory malloc(). But there is no corresponding free().
The user has to free the memory. But calling free after casting and dereferencing causes a crash. Does memory have to be freed in this case? See last for loop.
Thanks for reading, replying and hopefully a lesson in pointers.

I'm guessing it is something with no-ip then, what happens if you try to access the pictures via the IP address and port (if you are using no-ip to forward to a port other than port 80)?

The problem still persists when I use the IP address... good thinking though, I was hoping beyond hope that you'd be right...

Yes--no sign of Final Cut Pro having been altered. Why remove a nice feature of the bundle?

Sountrack is still mentioned in the Final Cut Pro info at Apple.com--and in fact, Soundtrack itself still has its own page at Apple. It's just the store that no longer lists it. So by itself it seems to be gone, but it lives on with Final Cut.

Maybe the next Final Cut will just come with a video-enabled GarageBand variation?

"Battery life is better" is the new "Safari seems snappier".

These are the ONLY things Apple said about 4.3.3, so what are you people on about?

Reduces the size of the cache
No longer backs the cache up to iTunes
Deletes the cache entirely when Location Services is turned off

I'm looking for buying a new mac mini that "might" come out soon, here's some little things would like to know about.
Keyboard, I ordered one bluetooth keyboard (will use to go with my ipod or phone) said support MAC 3.0, i don't know what that is.. (not a mac guy, yet), would it be work with the mini? If don't, should I get a normal or full size keyboard from apple?
Second, I had a bluetooth mouse, but I think I would like to sit or lay on my bed to work with it, anyone tried the Magic Trackpad? It likes would be better to use when I'm not on my table.
Thanks for reading and y'all answers :)

Your baseband is not an exclusive version :/ It is in the family of sad un-unlockable children. Your brothers and sisters are 02.10 and 04.10. The golden child is 01.59.

Haha sorry, it's late t__t but yeah, unless they are magically able to unlock only 03.10, I don't see retaining the bb as any real value.

So the real question is, how big is the chance that a potential new unlock will only unlock 03.10 (and 02.10, which is what I am at)?

I'm kind of debating just updating to 4.3.2 (4.3.1 now) without baseband preservation and then hope a new unlock will unlock everything up until then. It's kind of a pain to update to a new version with baseband preservation, having to completely restore and resync everything...

Why do you assume it was Apple? The guy could have sold it privately or even decided to keep it and pulled the auction himself.

..also if i am going to be there for hours i want to be able to smoke and the grove is open air...
On a sidenote, I'm just asking as a courtesy, if you do plan on smoking to either step out of line or ask people around you first. I'm not going to the grove or anything, but I have waited in lines outdoors for events where it wasn't easy to just move/leave but standing where I can smell the smoke from someone smoking nearby is absolutely unbearable.

    Good question...

It didn't used to do that in 10.1 and it annoys me because it's a very Windowesque feature. I think when I click shutdown, I really mean shutdown and don't need to be asked.

Algoriddim has reduced the price of its djay app for the iPhone and iPod touch from $4.99 down to $.99 for a limited time. djay (http://appshopper.com/music/djay-for-iphone-ipod-touch) for the iPhone and iPod touch debuted (http://www.macrumors.com/2011/03/15/algoriddims-djay-arrives-on-iphone-and-ipod-touch/) in the App Store last month and was preceded by a version for the iPad (http://appshopper.com/music/djay) released in December (http://www.macrumors.com/2010/12/02/djay-application-for-ipad-released/).

djay provides a virtual turntable interface for music mixing and scratching as well as beat-matching, EQ controls and more. The app takes advantage of several features that debuted with iOS 4.2 in November (http://www.macrumors.com/2010/11/22/ios-4-2-1-now-available/) including full access to the iPod library and AirPlay.

Continue using your iPhone until the thing shuts off by itself. Then plug it in and let it charge back up completely. If after this you're still having issues with your battery, shut off your bluetooth, push email, etc and see if that helps. Still having issues with your battery, then take it to the Apple store and see if they can help, or get you a replacement iPhone.
